De'Zyre Williams


De’Zyre (pronounced desire) Williams is an 8-year-old author, youth inspirational speaker, actress, and the CEO of De’Zyre Williams Enterprises, LLC. She is a former native of Lewiston-Woodville, North Carolina but now resides in Plymouth, North Carolina. She has been identified as academically and intellectually gifted (AIG) by her school. De’Zyre’s hobbies are writing, reading, martial arts and gymnastics trainings, and spending time with her mother, stepfather, and the rest of her family.

De’Zyre has branded her published children’s book series Close Friends into her own business, De’Zyre Williams Enterprises, LLC to expand her love for reading into a broader horizon. Close Friends is a three-part series that teaches children the importance of positive friendships and is based on her own true-life experiences. De’Zyre was inspired to write children’s books to encourage children of all ages to share her passion for reading and to develop positive social skills. De’Zyre founded a literacy nonprofit organization that is expected to be in full operation in the winter of 2019. She founded this organization to inspire and empower youth of low-performing schools within Northeastern North Carolina and their families to strengthen their literacy and social skills.

De’Zyre has been featured in several media outlets ranging from the local newspapers, magazines, and the WITN7 news, to radio interviews with radio personalities, Clarke Jones from 101.9 KISS FM, D-Train from Power 95.5 FM, and Louie Da Doggie Diva with 98.5 FM Da Big Dawg. De’Zyre has the pleasure of meeting and interacting with celebrities Loni Love, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and Kandi Burruss.

Chief Operating Officer


Joyetta Williams Murphy is the mother of the owner, De'Zyre Williams and the Chief Operating Officer for De'Zyre Williams Enterprises, LLC. Mrs. Murphy is a former native of Lewiston-Woodville, North Carolina but currently resides in Plymouth, North Carolina. 

Mrs. Murphy has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Criminal Justice Specialization and a Master of Science in Human Services. Mrs. Murphy is also a doctoral candidate for a PhD in Human and Social Services with a Specialization in Family Studies & Intervention.  Murphy is a wife and a mother to one child (De'Zyre Williams). Mrs. Murphy enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, being actively involved in De'Zyre's extracurricular activities, and traveling.

Along with operating De'Zyre Williams Enterprises, LLC, Mrs. Murphy is currently a Board Certified Qualified Mental Health Professional, Adjunct College Professor, and a Certified Strengthening Families Instructor. 

Mrs. Murphy has over 10 years of human service experience as Social Worker, Social Skill Building Coach, Mental Health Professional, Nonprofit Administration, Day Treatment Counselor, Family Service Specialist, and Business Development.




Dr. Wanda Carr, author of Ride Out The Storm, is the owner/operator of Helping Hands Consultant, a consulting firm located in Greenville NC, specializing in tax preparation, accounting, mentoring and coaching services.

Wanda holds an AAS in Information System Technology from Martin Community College; BS in Business Administration/Management from Shaw University, a MBA in Business Administration, a MSA in Accounting all from Liberty University, and a DBA in Business Administration from Argosy University.

Wanda has a passion for teaching, mentoring and coaching others. Wanda continues to seek ways to research and study the progression of women in the 21st century, and ways to motivate, encourage, and empower individuals.

Wanda resides in North Carolina. Wanda currently works as the Assistant Business Manager at The Oakwood School and as an Adjunct Professor at N. C. Wesleyan University.

Timothy Simpson (Tim The Motivator) was born in Greenwood, SC the same hospital as Dr. Benjamin E. Mayes mentor to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He was raised all over the world as a military brat.  He lived in Germany for 8 years, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Georgia.  His step father Carey L Grant was an Army Sgt and superhero to him and his mom was everything to me.  Timothy's biological dad was one of his biggest inspirations and career mentors.

He started his first business at age 8 and by 13, he launched 2 other businesses.  He was a very active and ambitious child.  Doing CHORES gave him a great work ethic and attention to detail that helped him later in life, especially in business.

He has 3 sisters 1 one brother.  His older sister is more like the big brother he never had.  

He got his first job at 14 at Dairy Queen and all throughout high school he worked, played sports and went to school.

He has successfully owned 12 businesses in 7 different industries.  He ran several businesses while in college at USC.

The businesses included: 2 tire shops my first I bought of craigslist; 2 restaurants one at 22 and other at 25 which was a wing spot in which he called T’s Wings; a lawn care service I bought out of the Carolina trader; a digital marketing firm; a $1200 a day online loan processing company that he started after being laid off; 2 commercial cleaning companies in which he was the youngest to purchase in their history; 2 independent cleaning companies one with as many as 26 employees.​

Attorney & Counselor At Law


Cole Phelps is a proud graduate of North Carolina Central Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude with a juris doctor degree. He was the managing editor of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law Review, vice president of his class, and recipient of the Floyd B. McKissick leadership award. Phelps is the founder and counselor at law at The Law Office of D. Cole Phelps, PLLC in Plymouth. His expertise is in criminal law, small business start-ups, family law, traffic tickets, estate planning, and real estate.

Phelps is a native of Washington County, and he returned to his home community to serve and give back. After winning his first primary election with over 62% of the votes, he later became the youngest county commissioner at the time of his election to serve in any of North Carolina’s 100 counties. During his first term of office, he was selected by his fellow board members as vice chairman and then chairman. He was one of the first commissioners of Washington County to be appointed to serve as an at-large member of the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners and also served on its Health & Human Services and Public Education steering committees. Phelps is a member of the Next Generation National Association of Counties Network. Currently, he is serving his second term of office as a member of the Washington County Board of Commissioners representing the residents of District 1. During his public service, Phelps has established a stellar reputation for being a champion for education.

As a graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in Family and Community Services with a minor in Political Science, the East Carolina University Division of Student Affairs Office of Development recognized him with the prestigious 40 Under 40 leadership award. Dedicated to higher education, he returned to East Carolina University, where he has served on the faculty as an adjunct professor instructing courses in Family Law and Public Policy. Receiving high student reviews, Phelps sees his role in higher education as inspiring the next generation of leaders.

He was the first in his family to graduate from college. Realizing the challenges of access to higher education and the need to help first-generation college-bound students, Phelps formed the D. Cole Phelps Scholarship Foundation. Through his Foundation, Phelps has awarded annual scholarships to high school students in eastern North Carolina counties.
